Grace is doing much better, thanks in large part to ECT.  She is actively engaged in counseling, and becoming a little better each day.  We are grateful for the care she received, and is continuing to receive, to assist her in her path to recovery.  She will resume high school at WCS, repeating the 10th grade.  She receives maintenance ECT every 10 days, requiring outpatient anesthesia, which will create a new challenge during the upcoming school year.

It is physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting to have a child in the hospital for this long, while attending to her younger brother and keeping our business afloat during a difficult economic time.   We are grateful to our understanding and loyal staff who have kept the “good ship Hubbard” afloat.  Likewise, we are grateful to the clients and vendors who have shown such kindness and understanding to us, only knowing that we were dealing with an ongoing family crisis.

Richard is back in the office on a mostly regular, full time schedule as of this month.  Sandy has the ability to remotely manage most of her responsibilities, in order to be home and available for hospital and doctor appointments as well as the usual dictates of a family with two adolescents.   She will begin keeping a more regular office schedule when school begins again August 24.

Our family is our primary focus.  We feel we are on straight paths to the resumption of full health for all members.  We realize October to March is a particularly challenging time and we will be on high alert this year for any changes in order to redirect negative thinking.  We anticipate some bumps in the road.

Our business focus is in two areas:  judgment enforcement and legislative challenges.  We are reviewing cases for additional court action and seizure and lien of property.  Legislatively there are proposals and amendments in the current state session, as well as much tougher state privacy laws which went into effect within the last year.  As our case progression and business model adapts to this, we will be keeping you informed.
